The Parker 45

The Parker 45 has been a much under-rated fountain pen in recent years, although thankfully that is now changing as collectors are beginning to appreciate this amazing little pen.
I well remember when this pen was first introduced into the UK in the early 60s, as it was a revolution in fountain pen design at the time. In our shop we took a great delight in dismantling the pen in front of the customer to demonstrate how all the parts were interchangeable, even the filler unit.
Over the years, the overall design of the pen changed very little. Gold-plated and steel nibs were introduced as an alternative to the original 14ct gold and many different versions, colours and finishes were produced, such as the Harlequin.
Even though not suitable for the very heavy-handed writer, the pen has always functioned well considering the simplicity of the nib/feed unit.
All original Parker 45's have the same dimensions, allowing for slight differences in finish.
Dimensions:  Capped 5.36" (136.3 mm) : Posted 5.69" (144.5 mm)
Diameter 0.45" (11.5 mm)
Please note that I have spares and can undertake repairs for most of the 45 models.
